How Can severe Constipation be Treated?

Hi I m 20 years old I am a female. I got sick a few days ago n I can t quite figure out what I have. My nose is either so stuffed up I can t breath or I am literally dropping snot.. I have gone through 3 toilet paper roles and half a roll of paper towels in the last 2 days. I have a cough that is so bad it hurts when I breath n when I try to talk the couch kicks in .. If I cough for to long I puke. My head hurts really badly and I have been getting fevers i wait a bit for them to go down I get the cold sweats. My ears keep poping in and out and the back of my eyes hurt. I was wondering if you had any advice on what I should do.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can take laxatives like Lactulose for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and plan for a colonoscopy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
